Start of a journey and a new friend?

Courtney walked through Viridian City, having stayed at the Pokemon Center the night before. She smiled softly at her companion, her Charmander whose name was Kokushibyou or Koku for short. Koku walked silently beside Courtney, checking all around. He was, after all, a very observant and protective pokemon. As they continued down the streets of Viridian City Courtney couldn't help but look over at Viridian Forest. She glanced at Koku before grabbing his tiny hand and running off toward the forest. She had heard that Pikachu resided in the Viridian Forest, and she loved the cute little pokemon and thought about catching one.

As Courtney, dragging Koku with her, neared Viridian Forest a gentle breeze blew, swaying the leaves on the trees surrounding the entrance. She looked over at Koku before quietly walking into the forest, not really knowing what to expect. Noises could be heard, the sounds of pokemon saying their names and calling out to each other could be heard. Courtney continued walking, going deeper into the forest as it grew a little dimmer.

After a while Courtney had all but given up on finding a Pikachu. She hadn't heard or seen one in all the time she had been there. Well...Do I just go back or continue to look? She thought as she glanced around, leaning against a tree. Kokushibyou stood next to her, still alert as always. A bush beside Courtney rustled and a small, yellow thing ran out. Pikachu? The creature panted slightly as it sat on the ground not even five feet away from the young trainer and her pokemon. Courtney took a few steps forward and watched as the Pikachu got up and got into a defensive stance. So, he or she isn't going to run away. Perfect. She then had Koku use scratch as the Pikachu seemed to be getting ready to attack.

Pikachu ran out and got in a deffensive stance,
"Pikkaaa!"
It yelled glancing at Courtney.

As Koku atacked he quickly dodged it.
Then started running towards Koku.
Pikachu was using bolt tackle.
"Pika pika pika!"
It yelled jumping up and attempting to slam its tail against Koku.

"Dodge and use scratch again." Courtney said as Koku nodded, having already known to dodge. He muttered a quick "Charmander, Char" before jumping to the side to avoid Pikachu's Volt Tackle. Koku then aimed to use both his claws to scratch the Pikachu. This was going to be long... Courtney thought, thinking that if the Pikachu knew Volt Tackle, that it was experienced and had more moves, especially since Koku was less experienced and had only one offensive more to use.

As her Charmander Koku dodged it, Pikachu looked around in confusion.
"Pika...?"
It said wondering where Koku went.
"Pika!"
It turned around and attepmted to tackled it.

Courtney took a few steps as Koku's scratch and Pikachu's tackle clashed together. Neither side was about to give it, or so it seemed. Courtney stood back and watched, waiting to see the outcome of what would happen. They both are strong. I wonder which is stronger. She thought as she continued to wait, pulling out a poke ball just in case. She had low hope that the Pikachu would be tired enough to be captured but she still wanted to be prepared.

After a few minutes of this going on, Pickachu finnaly gave in and flew back landing on its back.
"Pika..."
It mumbled. It then jumped up and barely landed.
Pickachu was very dizzy but with the enrgy it had it attempted iron tale again.

Courtney was surprised to see that the Pikachu had been the one to give in. I guess that training that Koku did paid off. She thought as she looked between the two. Koku didn't even wait for Courtney's command as he ran forward, attempting to use Scratch again, this time against Pikachu's Iron Tail. This will be close. She noted Koku had also seemed tired, but not as much as the Pikachu, or at least that's what it seemed liked.

Suddenly Pickachu's iron on his tail faded, And he closed his eyes and almost fainted.
"Pika..."
He mumbled.
He then fell on the ground.
And started moving his paws barely.

Courtney told Koku to stop his attack as she threw her pokeball at the Pikachu and watched as he was sucked in it. The pokeball landed on the ground and rocked back and forth. Koku stood near the pokeball, in case the Pikachu escaped.

After a few more rolls from the pokeball, it suddenly stopped rolling and make a small noise, showing that the pokemon was caught. Courtney grinned slightly to herself as she went and picked up the pokeball, Koku standing beside her. "Yes! I caught a cute little Pikachu!" Courtney said happily as she smiled down at the pokeball. "I'm gonna call you Sparky." She knew she wasn't going to get a response but oh well.

Angela had been chasing a pickachu for hours, Then she saw a girl with a pokeball.
"Did you catch a pickachu?"
She asked catching her breath and leaning over.
"I saw it first!"
She said standing straight with her hand in a fist.
"So hand it over!"
She said laughing in a cocky way.

Courtney had been about to put her pokeball, which contained Sparky, away when a girl, who was out of breath, appeared. She then started demanding for the Pikachu Courtney had just caught. "Um...Just cause you saw him first doesn't mean you can just take him." She said, trying to be polite to this obviously rude, or rather, cocky person. Kokushibyou growled quietly to himself, not liking this girl. He got in front of Courtney as he narrowed his eyes at Angela. "Calm down Koku." She whispered to the Charmander. He shook his head slightly and began to glare at Angela.

As Koku growled at glared at Angela, Her Teddiursa Starlight came out and growled at Koku. Angela looked down at Starlight.
"Calm Down starlight..."
She said loooking back up.
"Im only kidding with ya!"
She said with a bright smile.

Courtney smiled softly and knelt down. "Could of fooled me." She said quietly as she hugged Koku, trying to calm him down. He soon stopped growling and glaring. He still was weary of the two, but for his own reasons. "I'm Courtney and this is Kokushikyou." Courtney said as she stood back up, putting Sparky's pokeball away in its rightful place on her waist. "And your Teddiursa is so cute!" She, like most girls, loved cute pokemon. Though she did love tough pokemon, and dark pokemon, more.

Angela smiled, And nodded.
"Thanks! Her name is Starlight. And i love your charmander!"
She said picking up her teddiursa, And putting it on her knee.
"So what are you doing out in the woods?"

"What a pretty name and thank you." Courtney said as she smiled at the Teddiursa who was now perched on Angela's knee. Koku smile slightly at Angela, bowing his head to thank her for the compliment. "I came out here to catch a Pikachu." She said, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. "What about yourself?" [i]It does seem a little bad to come out here to just catch a pokemon. Oh, I need to take Sparky to the Pokemon Center."

"Well... I was chasin the pickachu i saw."
She replied. She paused for a moment then her face lit up.
"Lets exhange numbers of our pokegear!"
She said getting her pokegear out.
"Mine is 213-432-132"

"Sure." Courtney said as she reached through her black, purple, and blue bag and pulled out her black pokegear. She then registered Angela in her pokegear. "Mines 556-297-826." She put her pokegear away and looked back over at Angela. "Oh, well sorry for catching him. Maybe I can help you find another Pikachu?"

(o.o Wow, thanks for telling me. What moves does it know? Since you used iron tail, tackle, and volt tackle?)

Angela registered court in her pokegear and ran off yelling.
"Bye, See ya soon!"

"Bye! See ya soon!" Courtney yelled back as she waved bye to Angela. She then turned to Koku and smiled softly as he jumped into her arms. Looks like we've made two new friends today. That's a good start. She thought as she headed back to Viridian City and the Pokemon Center to heal her Pokemon. Then she would head off to her next place.
