The great Pokemon training montage (Izzy and Masorin)

"Give them treats? of course earn there trust threw meaningless bribery." the plan was so simple that it made perfect sense. if his team figgured out that he was worth keeping around then they wouldn't be so mean to him, and start respecting him as a trainer. his chikorita may bite the hand that feeds it but he doubted it would bite the hand that feed it treats. he rumedged threw his pockets finding a pokemon treat that he had gotten from the pokemon center.

"Lettuce come here girl." Lettuce walked up as the treat was put in front of her. it blinked tilted its head slightly and then Bit down on Masorin's hand. "Ow i was wrong it does bite the hand that gives it candy!" he said flailing as lettuce refused to let go of his hand.

Izzy sighed shaking her head before reaching out and grabbing lettuce's leaf pinching it. "Let him go" She said softly yet with command. Chikorita had a slight pain point in their leaf that was the equivalent of biting a dog/cat's ear. Izzy had worked with her mother for such a long time with the pokemon on the ranch that she learned a few things. She knew little of grass types, but this was how her mother controlled any pokemon with ears.

"You gotta give her the treats from afar, then slowly move in closer...she's a bitch you gotta show her respect and then she'll love ya.. or atleast not bite you" she smiled gentle before going back to eating.

Masorin notted the weak spot on the leaf and nodded ,that pokemon was going down next time, he sighed and sat back continuing to do what he did best eating his own food. he chewed on the soup really they should have made while they were training but what were you gonna do. "Flandra doesn't bite none of my male pokemon hate me what is lettuce's problem?"

Masorin sighed thinking back to the day he caught lettuce it had been a rather violent capture but nothing out of the ordinary. even his vulpix didn't hate him this much. he gave a small Yawn wondering what he could do to convince that chikorita to stop biting him. show it respect since when did pokemon need respect? he was the trainer they needed to only respect him. then again maybe she was right maybe his approach was wrong. "I always thought that they were more like animals dumb, obedient creatures that were just there to help us win fights... I am starting to think I am vary vary wrong." he said out loud.

Izzy laughed a bit, "Pokemon are as intelligent as they so wish, much like people. Your vulpix will evolve into a creature that's intelligence will rival anything you've ever seen. And you should never treat them as anything other then friends and family" she smiled as her pikachu jumped on her shoulders and hugged her face. "also, you're mostly after fire pokemon, maybe Lettuce sees you as a hostile force seeing as you have so many of the things that threaten her" she pointed out taking another bite of her stew and drink of her soda.

"Maybe you should go down by the water and use Lettuce only, get to know her abilities and show that you value her as a member of your team... even if you don't plan to use her once you become a gym leader she's your's so ya might as well get to know and train her" Her voice was informitive as she gave her pikachu a rub on her chin. Nibble walked over to Lettuce and poked her with his snout, "toto?"
