Beware the grass!

having his cyndaquil from elm and that new pokedex and three pokeballs that he gave him, Rin was feeling pritty good about his life. walking threw the grassy part of the road he wasn't even really thinking when he was suddenly tripped.

Masorin fell head over heals smaking hard into the ground looking up to see a small chikorita. he blinked for a moment before pulling out his pokedex. "Chikorita, a grass type pokemon: A sweet aroma gently wafts from the leaf on its head. It is docile and loves to soak up the sun's rays"

"thank you Pokedex... so if i remember correctly fighting means... oh right" he reached his for his belt and grabbed a small red and white ball "Go Fluffy!"

the ball sored high into the air as it exploded with white light and revealed cyndaquil. this should be fun two of the starters on his first encounter... he was going to whoop some ass! "your gonna be mine to smoke chikorita!"

'Chik, Chika" the green pokemon murmured as it tried to find a soft spot to sun itself. It was ready to just relax after fighting off a Spearow over a berry. Its leaf was limp expressing its want to nap, but suddenly went straight up as it smelled a human approach. it turned to face the boy that stood there narrowing red eyes and bearing its small, hardly sharp teeth. "Chika?" it did not take its eyes from the human, by his smell he was a trainer and they were always a nuisance to wild pokemon!

"Chika!" it barked not moving an inch trying to intemitate the boy, he pulled out a red square that started to squawk and that made the Chikorita crouch down a bit and glared. The boy spoke something to his self before throwing a ball, light erupted and then a Cyndaquil appeared!

The Chikorita used Growl at the cyndaquil.

"Fluffy... lets take this thing down town and kick it till its ours." Rin cricked his neck and watched the chikorita it was wierd he had always heard that you were supposed to beat the pokemon before you catch it but how do you know when to stop hurting the thing? and why couldn't you just catch it when it was crippled and sleeping? seriously who invented these rules of fair play?

Masorin shook his head unsure of what to think he watched it use growl and he smiled "Lets see it get up after this fluffy tackle!"

"Cynda!" the fire type pokemon mewed in responce and charged down at the grass starter he would beat the living snot out of this thing and cripple it there was no morals here, Masorin was the type of trainer who put a pokemon in the chamber and fired no mercy to the wild!

Chikorita glared at the fire pokemon as it charged, With a nimble movement it side stepped and at the moment their bodies would be paralleled the Chikorita used Tackle, "CHIKA!" It shouted a battle cry as it moved with impressive speed for a low level grass type. Even if it missed the grass pokemon leaped back and got into another crouch ready to Tackle again.

"Cyn?" the cyndaquil said as it was suddenly attacking air and then was suddenly thrown to the side by a powerful blow to what would be the creatures rib cage. Cyndaquil staggered slightly as he got back up not crippled but kind of hurt. he shook slightly and then seemed to crouch down. "Cynda!" as it mewed this time its flames on its back seemed to increase in intensity.

Masorin blinked and then turned to the chikorita "i wouldn't have done that now your pissing off fluffy." it was a common fact that most cyndaquils had anger issues and fluffy was no exception even at level 5 he was a feisty creature, and even with his strength slightly reduced by the chikorita's first growl, he had to say that this was not surprising to see. "Cyndaquil what are you waiting for Tackle!"

The fire type shook with a anger and threw himself towards the Pokemon going for a full on tackle it would be intresting to see how the chikorita handled him this time.

Every instinct the Chikorita was feeling told it to run. To move, to dodge, but the blood roaring around its body made it stand its ground. Watching the now pissed off Cyndaquill charge it anchored itself by gripping the grass, and at the last possible moment, "CHIKA!" it shouted as it lunged forward meeting the Cyndaquil in mid-tackle with its own tackle. If the collision would accrue, due to the small window for the Cyndaquil to veer off, it would do them both damage, and with the Growl effecting the fire pokemon the tackle, a physical attack, would do slightly reduced damage.

Backing away and shaking its head the Chikorita released another growl its eyes narrowed and forehead starting to bruise a bluishing purple mark.

Masorin shook his head as it went for another growl he just needed one more good hit with fluffy by the looks of things but this chikorita was gonna fight for its freedom. and he could tell the poor creature did not wish to go down with out a fight. he would make sure that he healed it quickly after all he couldn't let the poor thing suffer once it was part of his... collection.

"Fluffy... tackle!" as the cyndaquil heard the command it charged forward and threw himself into the chikorita's path going in for a full on tackle. this would hopefully be the move that brings down the chikorita's resistance to the point where he could catch it. it was odd beating the crap out of it only to have it be captured and work for you.. why wern't there laws against this kind of violence... and why was this kind of violence for children? these were questions he put aside right now he just wanted to take it down.

he grabbed a pokeball from his bag soon this would be all over.

The Chikorita winced shaking its head side to side as it tried to clear the blurred vision it was having. The bruise on its forehead was smarting and it was swelling to the point that its eyes were suffering. "Chik....Chika" it grunted trying to stay up glaring through squinted eyes at the fire pokemon. "CHIKA!" it shouted as it charged, eyes closed at the Cyndaquil only to lift its head at the last moment the pain of leaning its head down too much in the run. This gave the Cyndaquil the room it needed to strike hitting the Grass Pokemon square on the throat/chest causing the creature to fly backwards across the soft grass. "Ch...Chi...Ch" it grunted trying to get up, it found it funny how it had finally found the soft patch of grass it wanted, and the warmth of the sun glowed down on it. It opened its eyes glaring at the human as it tried to get up, but fell on its stomach with a gentle thud and a soft gasp of pain.

Looking at the chikorita he sighed it seemed... so upsetting the chikorita had never really asked for any of this, and had only defended its own territory. it wasn't even a fire pokemon meaning eventually when he became a gym leader it was probably gonna be left out of his group. he breathed holding in one hand cyndaquil's pokeball and in the other, the fresh pokeball one of the three that elm had given him when he had visited.

He breathed out slightly tossing the pokeball not hard gently aiming for chikorita in a place where it hadn't been hurt to badly. there was a light thud as the ball made contact and the capturing process started. the ball shook once, then again, then a third time and then with a single beep it was over Chikorita was caught. he walked up slowly.

"Fluffy... was that what it was like for you?" He looked down at the cyndaquil who gave no sighn of motion or anything. it was wierd there wasn't supposed to be a moral compus choice about catching pokemon you were supposed to put a pokemon in the chamber and fire, they were the tools that made life easier. he turned and returned cindaquil attaching both balls to his belt he sighed. "Lets go back to elms and get you both healed up."
